The Orange County Fair is open and I participated in a group fair quilt again. Look for the picture in the next couple of days from the Lunch Bunch Quilters. The theme is “Think Big” and it is Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue Ox. We are waiting for a report back if we got a ribbon this year.
Long Beach International Quilt Festival is less than two weeks away. I am in Space 2350/2352 near the downstairs concessions. Come see the Batty Lady – purchase $80.00 before tax and a gift is included with purchase. Plus if you say you saw my blog or one of my postings I have a free gift.

June 27 I am at Ginger’s Quilt Shoppe in Upland – 10 am is the Batting Informational, and at 1 pm I am teaching Machine Trapunto 101.
July 7 – Batting Informational and Machine Trapunto 101 – with the Wrightwood quilt guild.
July 11 – Southern California Council of Quilt Guilds – meet the teacher – this is an opportunity for guilds to book the Battylady for speaking at quilt guild meetings.
July 24, 25, and 26 – Long Beach International Quilt Festival – see me in the Hobbs Booth.

Hope you are done with your holiday quilting, and having time to enjoy the holidays. I am currently quilting a gift that will not be done in time for Christmas but will be a New Year’s gift instead. Now is the time to start thinking about your 2009 Projects. I will be receiving three different kinds of eco-friendly in the next couple of weeks. Check back to see previews on PLA, PLA with Cotton and Dream Green (made out of soda bottles). These three along with Bamboo batting are all renewable sources or are made out of recycled products. Come to my booth at the Torrance show to feel the products and see the samples.

Hi,
I am getting ready for a busy summer. On July 16 we will be at the El Cajon Quilt Guild Meeting. It is at the Rancho San Diego Library, 11555 Via Rancho San Digo El Cajon, CA 92019. I wil be speaking at 11 am. I am sure that if you are in the area, you will be more than welcome.
On July 24 I will be at the Nite Owls Guild in Ontario. It is an evening meeting. Look for more information next week.
And I hope to see you at the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach. It will be an exciting event.
August will be busy too. Currently I have two shows and a family vacation.

Welcome Back,
Several Long Arm Quilters inquired about Bamboo Batting on the Roll. Bamboo on the roll is not available yet. As soon as it is, I will be carrying it for the long arm community. But if you are interested in any of the other products on the roll, please let me know and I can quote you a price and delivery time. Hobbs is usually available in about 10 days – it is trucked in from Texas. Fairfield, Quilter’s Dream and Mountain Mist are a few days later because those products are coming from the East Coast. And I always have Airtex in stock by the roll.

Hi,
I am glad you are visiting the Battylady. We have been busy with guild meetings, quilt shows and getting ready for future shows. In May we were at Ventura for the Camarillo Quilters Guild and Lancaster for the Antelope Valley Quilters Association Shows. Last weekend we were in Aliso Viejo for the Beach Cities Quilters show. Here is where I will be in the next few months:

August 28 – 30 San Diego Quilt Show, San Diego Convention Center
